Ivana sent me this picture of their visit. You can see that Noa quickly spiraled out of control, clocking Evie in the head. Amazingly enough, Evie never even budged (see previous picture).

Water Night at Church
We got all buckled up and ready to go (much to Noa's dismay) and headed to the church. We even almost made it on time!
Noa really didn't get in any water, but Mommy made her wear her swimming suit anyway. I think she just thought it was a spandex-y onesie. She looked cute, cute, cute!
By the end of the evening, we were both tired out and ready to go home.

Happy Father's Day!
Look at this cute girl in her pretty dress! I can't get enough of her! Russ paraded her around before his sermon, so everyone got a peek. Then we spent a quiet day at home for Russ' first Father's Day. Noa gave him pictures of her for his office and a shirt, and Mom gave him a kayaking trip that we're going on tonight!
I had to get a picture of these booties Mary made for her.
Almost caught a sleepy smile.

Happy Birthday Aunt Melissa!
Mushroom and Shallot Sauce
Here's an EASY recipe that we learned from Rachel Ray's show the other day. It is so EASY that I remembered it from just watching the show. We made it last night and it was soooo good! And, did I mention EASY? That's the only way I'll cook.
2 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms (any kind you like)
3 Shallots sliced
1 TBSP Flour
3/4 Cup White Cooking Wine
3/4 Cup Chicken Broth
Saute mushrooms and shallots in the olive oil over medium high heat. When they cook down (about 5 minutes), whisk in flour. Add the White Cooking Wine and Chicken Broth and stir as it thickens. That's it! Serves: 2
We eye-balled everything and it was easier than getting out the measuring cups. We poured this over Chicken breasts and wild rice and it was awesome! It has a lot of flavor, so you could thin it out with the liquids a little bit and serve probably 4 people.

Tummy Time!
Mommy got my Tummy Time mat out for the first time today. I wasn't really interested in being on my tummy, so we thought we could use it as a recliner. I wasn't quite sure what to think about it at first...
I started to get upset...
and just 2 seconds later I was fast asleep!
Mommy really likes this recliner idea...

What a fun week!
I was feeling a little under the weather this week, so I was glad to have my friend Pam and her daughter Avi come and cheer me up! Avi was being a little serious in this picture, but it was such a joy watching her with Noa. I've never seen a little girl so excited to be around a baby! She just giggled and laughed and smiled after just touching Noa's foot or something. It was very sweet. And my friend Pam is 21 weeks pregnant and looks AMAZING!! Come visit us again!
For Father's Day I surprised Russ (early) with a kayak trip in the Harbor the day after Father's Day. The reason I had to tell him early is because I wanted a lesson before going. (Images of me capsizing and sharks circling the boat are still in my mind. If anyone is terrified of sharks as much as I am, you know what a big deal it is for me to go on this trip!) So, anyway, last night was our first class and we had so much fun! We're a little greasy in this picture because of the sunscreen, but I wanted to document the moment anyway. I can't wait until we can actually go on our tour around Charleston!
